When mowing your lawn in the City of Chillicothe, Chillicothe Street Superintendent Jeff Gillespie says blowing the grass clippings into the street is not allowed.
Gillespie says grass clippings left in the street can cause problems when it is raining.
In addition, grass clippings and leaves blown into the street can cause problems for traffic, as they are slippery and can result in a vehicle sliding on the pavement, especially motorcycles.
If you see someone blowing grass into the street and it is not cleaned up, contact city hall or the street department
