Resurfacing work on US 36 in Livingston County has been postponed. The work that had been expected to begin today (Monday) has been postponed a couple days, and should begin Wednesday. The resurfacing project includes eastbound from Route C to Parson’s Creek, just over the Linn County line, and westbound from Parson’s Creek to Coon Creek.
The current schedule includes:
June 8 – 17: Concrete pavement repairs, both directions
June 20 – 30: Roadside work, westbound only, at the Leeper Creek Bridge, just east of Chillicothe
July 5 – Aug. 18: Guardrail work, both directions
Aug. 24 – Sept. 12: Pavement repairs, both directions
Sept. 6 – Oct. 27: Resurfacing, shoulder work, and striping, both directions
The roadway will remain open, but traffic may be reduced to a single lane in either direction.
All work is expected to be complete by the end of October. A 16-foot width restriction will be in place for the duration of the project.
