A Macon man is sentenced to five life sentences. Following a two-day jury trail in Linn County Circuit, 55-year-old Kenneth Dean Harper was found guilty on 19 counts. This includes:
– 2 counts Child Molestation in the First Degree
– 8 counts Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree
– 9 counts Statutory Rape in the First Degree
Sentencing was held on 5 of the counts. The jury returned the following sentences on 5 of the counts:
– 3 counts of Statutory Rape in the First Degree – Life sentence on each count
– 2 counts of Statutory Sodomy in the First Degree – Life sentence on each
The sentencing for the remaining 14 counts will be by the judge and are set for August 2nd.
