Weekend Report For The Chillicothe Police Department

Friday,

10:52 a.m., Officers were dispatched to drugs attempting to be delivered through mail.  Officers responded and the drugs were seized.  The investigation is ongoing.

5:29 p.m., Officers took a report of stealing in the 400 block of W. Polk St.  The investigation is ongoing.

10:04 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a person possibly under the influence of drugs in the 2600 block of N. Washington St. Officers responded and a 34-year-old woman was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.  She was processed and released.

Saturday,

4:37 a.m., Officers responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of Frederick St.  They arrested a 52-year-old man for assault and a 28-year-old man on an a probation violation warrant.  The 52-year-old was processed and released.  The 28-year-old was unable to post a $20,000 cash only bond and was taken to the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail.

8:32 a.m., Officers responded to a dog that attacked and killed another dog in the 1700 block of Borden St.  Officers contacted the owner of the victim dog and after investigation, were able to locate and contacted the owner of the aggressive dog.  Officers discovered the aggressive dog ran off and the owner is cooperating.

10:51 a.m., Officers took a report of a child sexual assault.  The investigation is ongoing.

3:39 p.m., Officers took a dog bite report in the 100 block of Clay St.  Officers were assisted by Animal Control.

4:03 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a vehicle fire in the 1200 block of N. Washington St.  Officers were able to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher.

Sunday,

1:44 a.m., Officers were dispatched to fireworks being discharged at Danner Park.  Officers responded and located juveniles in the park after park hours and after juvenile curfew.  They were taken to the Police Department and their parents/guardians were contacted.  The incident was forwarded to the Livingston County Juvenile Office.

10:26 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle non-injury traffic crash in the 500 block of E. Bus. 36 Hwy.  One vehicle backed into another vehicle.   Minor damage was reported.
