Three were injured in a single-vehicle accident in Grundy County Monday afternoon. State Troopers responded to the accident on NW 22nd, north of Trenton at about 4:30 pm.
The report states 25-year-old Samantha L Knapp of Trenton was southbound when she lost control and ran off the right side of the road, striking an embankment, overturning onto the driver’s side and then back to its wheels.
Knapp and her passengers, a seven-year-old boy and 29-year-old Brandon D Burkhardt of Trenton were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital. Knapp and Burkhardt were not wearing safety belts and had moderate injuries. The boy was properly restrained and had minor injuries.
