The Chillicothe School District ended the 2021/22 school year with a 38.9% reserve balance. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says that is an increase from 26.75% from the start of the fiscal year.
Final bills for the year were approved and funds were transferred to cover the necessary payments that are coming up. That includes a transfer of $1.537 million for the June – August teacher salaries. There was also a transfer of nearly $853,000 to the capital project fund.
For 2022/23, the board approved a budget that includes $24.1 million in revenues and $34.9 million in expenditures
The budget does include the changes in the salary schedule that were approved in March which include adjustments of 5-8%
