The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 117 calls for service Wednesday. Calls include an accident and a dog bite.
8:32am, Complaint of vehicle blocking the roadway at First and Brunswick Streets. Officers unable to contact the owner and the vehicle was towed.
8:52 am, Dog bite reported in the 1900 block of Hoyt Drive. The person was jogging and was bitten by a dog that was running loose. Owner was contacted and cited for dog at large.
11:54 am, Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle traffic crash in the 800 block of W. Bus. 36 Hwy. A vehicle was attempting to turn into a private parking lot turned too sharp, colliding with a vehicle waiting to exit the private lot. Minor damage was reported.
12:55 pm, Officer out in the 1000 block of Graves Street to check on dog left in hot car. Officers determined that the dog had been left in the running vehicle and it had shut off. The owner was contacted and cited for neglect.
1:23 pm, Call of threats being made to employees of Chillicothe Correctional Center. Investigation continuing.
