A rate increase for Trenton Municipal Utilities water and sewer customers was approved by the Trenton City Council. City Administrator Ron Urton says the council approved the finding of a rate study.
In the fifth year, the council will request another rate study and determine what changes are needed moving forward.
Urton says the increases will help fund the capital improvement projects and build the reserves.
