The start of the 2022/23 school year brings the return of paying for student breakfast and lunch. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says “Unfortunately, we must charge for the breakfasts and lunches our students eat during the upcoming school year because the District is no longer receiving federal funds to cover this cost.”
Wiebers says because all student accounts will be charged for meals eaten this school year, he is encouraging everyone to fill out the 2022 Free and Reduced Meals Application, which may be found on the district website at the following link: 2022-2023 Free & Reduced Lunch Application. Paper forms may also be picked up at any school building on August 1, 2022.
Wiebers says the Chillicothe Board of Education recently set the meal prices for the 2022-23 school year.
kfastkBreakWith the new rates, parents of students in grades K-5 who eat breakfast and lunches every day this school year will be asked to pay $467.50 per child. Parents of 6-12 students will be charged $790.50 per child for the 170 days classes are in session.
Parents wanting to deposit money into their student(s) lunch accounts in preparation for the coming school year may do so using the District’s online payment portal: https://chillicotheschools.revtrak.net/
