While southern Missouri is suffering from Moderate to Severe Drought, northern Missouri is in good condition for soil moisture.
In the KCHI listening area, Livingston, Caldwell, Chariton, Daviess, Grundy, Linn, and Sullivan County are also showing no moisture issues. The southern part of Carroll County, near the Missouri River, is showing D0 – Abnormally Dry.
Just south of the Missouri River, Lafayette, Howard, and Saline counties have areas of D0-Abnormally Dry, D1- Moderate Drought, and D2-Severe Drought.
