The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 102 calls for service Thursday. Some of the calls include:
1:52 am. Officer stopped a vehicle for expired registration and upon further investigation, the driver was found in possession of controlled substance and paraphernalia. The 37-year-old Chillicothe resident was arrested and held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
9:47 am, Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury traffic crash on N. Washington St. at Webster St. A vehicle failed to stop for a red light and collided with another vehicle. A driver refused treatment and transportation to the hospital by ambulance. One driver was cited for failure to stop for a red light and no proof of insurance.
1:08 pm, Officer stopped a vehicle on US 36 and Mitchell Road for traffic violations. K-9 was deployed and a possible illegal substance was discovered. Subject received a warning for the traffic violations.
4:33 pm, Officers responded to a home in the 300 block of Jackson Street for suspicious activity. Two were taken into custody for attempted theft and one was found in possession of illegal drugs. One was cited and released and the one in possession was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
8:20 pm, Report of a person on a bicycle, riding through yards in the 200 block of Samuel Street. Officers located and arrested the person who was found in possession of an illegal substance. The 46-year-old was processed for possession of paraphernalia and resisting. And released with citations.
