An accident on Interstate 35 in Clinton county left two Hamilton children with minor injuries Monday. State Troopers report 15 year old Chase Matthews and 12 year old Devon Matthews were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries following the accident that happened at about 7:35 pm, six miles south of Cameron. According to the report, 55 year old Cindy Sanson of Hamilton was northbound when she struck some debris that became stuck under the vehicle. She was not injured in the accident.
In Sullivan County at about 1:20 pm, Troopers stopped a Mississippi man on traffic violation. They arrested 36 year old Joseph Strickland of Greenwood Springs, Mississippi for alleged speeding, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He was processed at the Sullivan county jail and released.
