U.S. Economists are seeing that prices are beginning to level off, but what does this mean for food prices? USDA economist, Matt MacLachlan, is still a bit skeptical.
Prices are continuing to increase at 1 to 1.5 percent. But MacLachlan says he would like to see monthly price hikes of one percent or less for at least a couple of months in a row.
So shoppers may have to continue waiting for a couple of months to feel relief from rapidly rising food prices.
