10:59 am, Officer received information about a possible sex offense. That investigation is to continue.
3:06 pm, Trespassing was reported in the 1000 block of Old US 36 Highway. The subject was contacted and left the property after trespassing.
7:47 pm, Report of a hit and run 2 vehicle crash at US 36 and 65. No injuries occurred. Identifying evidence at the scene provided a likely suspect from a neighboring location. Neighboring agencies were notified of the suspect vehicle and probable damage to the vehicle. The investigation is continuing.
10:06 pm, The 58-year-old Hale resident suspect in the previously reported hit and run at the south junction came into the PD to turn themselves in. The driver and vehicle information was obtained for the report. The subject was arrested for leaving the scene, processed, cited, and released.
There were also numerous traffic stops, continuing investigations, and building security checks.
