The personal property and real estate tax rate for the City of Trenton is the same as in 2021. The Trenton City Council held a tax rate hearing as part of Monday’s council meeting. There were no comments from the public. The rate was set at 1.1860 per $100 valuation. That includes 1.0017 for the general fund and .1843 for the park fund.
The Council also approved the participation in the Missouri Firefighter’s Critical Illness Trust and Pool. City Administrator Ron Urton says the program speeds the process of compensation for firefighters with illness due to exposure on their job.
The council also approved two concrete repair projects
In addition, the council approved street lights that were requested. Urton says the Utility Committee recommended approval.
He says there had been lights in the area in the past, but they were removed for the MoDOT right of way.
