The Chillicothe Hornets Football team is set to take on the Marshall Owls in its season opener Friday night.
The Hornets are looking to get off to a similar start to the season as they did last year, defeating the Owls 27-8. Chillicothe finished the season with an 8-4 record overall last season in Head Coach Chad Smith’s first season at the helm.
Coach Smith talked during the week about the ability to already have sets and schemes implemented heading into Week 1, a luxury they did not have a season ago.
Part of those schemes is junior running back and defensive back, Javon Kille. The speedy junior talked about his mentality and goals for the season.
