The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department incidents, investigations, and arrests since the end of July.
On July 30th, deputies began investigating a vehicle reported stolen in Texas and sold to a local resident. The thieves had tampered with the GPS, satellite radio, and VIN. The investigation continues.
August 10th, deputies began investigating property damage, burglary, and theft at a building in Utica. The investigation continues.
August 10th, an investigation began in the 12000 block of Route V where one or more employees of a moving company are suspected of stealing $500 in cash and 2 credit cards from the person who had hired them. One suspect has been identified, the investigation continues.
August 14th theft in the 8000 block of LIV 503 was investigated. Items stolen include a dirt bike and trailer tires.
August 17th, a vehicle stop led to 4 juveniles. One or more of the juveniles lied about marijuana and other items that were seized. Parents and juvenile officers have been notified.
August 18th, stolen tools were reported. Two suspects were identified.
August 22nd, a disturbance/assault was reported on LIV 2313. A juvenile allegedly physically assaulted a grandparent. Information was shared with the juvenile office.
Arrests:
August 17th, deputies arrested 32-year-old Anthony M. Rounkles of Hale on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was processed and released.
August 24th, deputies arrested 18-year-old David Wyatt Bendure of Chillicothe on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance.
August 24th, deputies arrested 34-year-old Christopher Allen Clinton of Chillicothe, on a Livingston County warrant for alleged class DWI-Persistent Offender. He was processed, posted bond, and was released.
