A speeding violation near Mooresville on September 1st results in the driver being arrested. The Livingston County Sheriff reports at about 2:00 pm a deputy near Mooresville and transporting a detainee to Caldwell County when he informed dispatch of an SUV traveling east on US 36 at 96 mph. The speed limit in the area is 65. Chief Deputy Micheal Claypole responded to US 36 and just outside of Chillicothe and checked the same vehicle, now traveling at 100 mph. The vehicle was stopped and the four male occupants from Kansas City Kansas were traveling to Michigan. Sheriff Cox says the computer shows the driver, had a non-extraditable warrant for a traffic offense in Kansas City. Cox says due to all the issues and the extreme speed the driver was arrested for speeding and later posted $250 bond.
