The Chillicothe Middle School Lady Hornets Softball team improves their record to 5-0 with an 11-1 win against Macon on Monday night.
Landry Marsh started out on the mound facing nine batters in two innings. Landry allowed one hit, one run, walked one, and struck out four batters. Hope Donoho pitched the last two innings, allowing one hit, walking one, and striking out three.
The Lady Hornets scored 8 runs in the first inning. They scored on a single by Hope Donoho, a single by Ellie Acree, a single by Bryleigh Gillespie, a single by Lydia Bonderer, a double by Landry Marsh, and a single by Hope Donoho all in the first inning. Donoho, Gillespie, and Bonderer each collected two hits for the Lady Hornets. Lexy Smith and Brynley Beemer each had a hit.
