Flood Warnings are in effect for parts of the KCHI Area.
With nearly inches of rain since Sunday morning and almost 8 inches since Thursday, rivers are rising.
The flood warning is for the Grand River and the Thompson River.
In Chillicothe, the Grand River has already risen above flood stage of 24 feet. A crest of 34.5 feet is expected overnight tonight. The flooding is expected to end Friday night.
At Sumner, Flood Stage is 26 feet. Moderate flooding is occurring, with a crest forecast at 36.8 feet. Flooding is expected to continue into the weekend.
In Gallatin, Flood Stage is 26 feet. A crest of 30.5 feet overnight tonight. Flooding could end Late Tuesday.
At Brunswick, Flood Stage is 19 feet. The river is expected to rise above flood stage tonight, reaching a crest of 26.7 feet Thursday morning. Flooding will continue into the weekend.
In Grundy County, the Thompson River has risen above flood stage of 27 feet and is expected to crest at 28 feet this evening, falling back below flood stage Tuesday morning.
