The Chillicothe High School Girls basketball team dropped its game against Hickman on Saturday afternoon 66-43. The Lady Hornets trailed 38-17 at halftime and Hickman really had a firm grasp on the game within a few minutes after tipoff.
Junior Hickman guard Ashtyn Klusmeyer was unstoppable for the Kewpies, scoring 29 points without even playing in the fourth quarter.
Kayanna Cranmer led Chillicothe in scoring with 11 points. Delanie Kieffer, Jolie Bonderer, and Liz Oliver each had eight points.
Chilli was without two of their top five leading scorers in this game: senior Jessica Reeter (14.6) and senior Izzy Montgomery (4.0).
The Lady Hornets came into the game only giving up 26.2 points per game, but allowed 66 points and gave up 10 three pointers on Saturday.
Chillicothe is back in action on Tuesday at Joplin at 4 pm.
