A driver was injured when she hit a building Wednesday morning. At about 10:15 am, Chillicothe Police were called to a business in the 800 block of First Street, where a vehicle hit the building. They found Connie Sowder, who said she was attempting to park in front of the business and her foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal.
The officers reported the vehicle jumped the curb and struck the building causing extensive damage to the vehicle and moderate damage to the building.
Sowder was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. There were no injuries reported from inside the building.
