Chillicothe police report one arrest and numerous incidents over the weekend
Saturday:
At about 12:13 am, officers arrested Alisha Laws following a traffic stop at Smith and Washington. The arrest was for alleged driving while revoked and no proof of insurance.
Officers responded to an alarm in the 300 block of Business 36. The alarm was at 7:30 am and was a false alarm
Officers responded to the 900 block of third Street for a child playing with a deactivated cell phone and repeatedly calling 911.
About 10:35 am, officers took a report of stealing in the 1000 block of Polk Street. It was a civil matter.
Sunday:
Just after midnight, officers found a woman in the 10 block of Third Street, sitting in the middle of the street. Officers found she had minor injuries and was intoxicated. She was taken to Hedrick Medical Center. They determined she had been in a verbal dispute with her boyfriend.
At about 4:35 am, Officers responded to the new Chillicothe Elementary School on a trouble alarm. They found no problem and the fire alarm was malfunctioning.
7:55 am, Officers were called to the 500 block of Dickinson Street on a report of a vehicle bumper and other auto parts in the roadway. Officers cleared the road, and it is unclear where the parts came from.
Officer were called for a two vehicle accident on a private lot in the 1000 block of Graves Street. Officers learned a vehicle struck a shopping cart shoving the shopping cart into another vehicle causing minor damage. The vehicle then left the scene. Officers located the suspect vehicle a short time later and cited Barbara A. Taylor for alleged leaving the scene of an accident and operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance.
