The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department is the recipient of a $3,000 grant for DWI/Impaired Driver Enforcement activities. Sheriff Steve Cox says his department can also receive up to another $2,000 for Hazardous Driving enforcement. That includes: careless and imprudent, speeding, child restraint violations and other dangerous driving violations on highways in Livingston County.
Cox says the grants pay overtime for deputies to conduct the enforcement activities between October 1st of this year and September 30th, 2019.
Cox says Chief Deputy Michael Claypole applied for and is the project manager for these two safety grants.
