If you use the Missouri state parks for camping and need a site with electricity, the rates are going up beginning next May. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources announced a $2.00 per night increase in the camp site rate, for the sites with electricity. The DNR continues to receive requests for more sites with electric hook-ups as well as additional sites with higher amperage needed by the bigger campers.
The DNR says the basic camp sites will have no rate increase.
The increase on the electric sites will help to fund the installation of the electrical equipment and upgrading some sites to 50 amps.
