The 68th annual North Central Missouri Bandmasters Association Concert is Monday, November 19th, at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. The Bandmasters Association is the oldest organization of its kind in all of Missouri and throughout much of the mid-west. The Bandmasters Association is an organization that brings band students from fifteen school districts together to work with professionals in their field in workshops and for a performance.
This year’s Guest conductor is Dr. John Zastoupol, the Director of Concert Bands and Assistant Professor of Music at Missouri State University. Dr. John Zastoupol conducts the Wind Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Community Band and Springfield Youth Wind Ensemble.
This year’s guest soloist is Dr. Joseph Tomasso, associate professor of music and oboe instructor at Northwest Missouri State University.
The concert will be Monday at 7:00 pm. Tickets for the event are $4.00 for adults and $3.00 for senior citizens and students. All tickets will be sold at the door.
