Eighty-three calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department Thursday. Some of the calls include:
4:14 AM Officers responded to the 2600 block of Fair Street for a violent elderly male. The male was found to be in need of assistance and was transported for medical treatment.
11:26 AM Officers assisted in traffic control for a stranded semi in the area of Missouri Ave and 10th Street.
2:53 PM Officers responded to Clay and Washington to arrest a man for a previous assault charge. While in custody, he was served a protection order. The man was processed and released with a court date. Two hours later, officers were called back to the location and arrested the same man for violating the protection order. The man was found to be intoxicated and resisted and assaulted officers. He was transported to CCDC with new charges pending.
11:00 PM Officers check on a suspicious vehicle in a construction area which resulted in the arrest of the driver for DWI. Suspect was processed and released with a citation.
Officers also conducted traffic stops, business checks, paper service, and followed up with numerous investigations.
