A two-vehicle crash near Green Castle left eight people with moderate injuries. The crash occurred Tuesday at about 5:30 am on Highway 6, west of Green Castle, as vehicles driven by 26-year-old Robenson Rosena and 51-year-old Felicien Izukuma, both of Kirksville, were westbound. State Troopers report Rosena slowed to avoid a deer in the roadway and was struck from behind. Rosena and three of his passengers, and four passengers from the other vehicle, were all taken to Sullivan County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Izukuma was not injured in the crash. They were all wearing safety belts.
