The only Midland Empire Conference team still playing football hits the road for the Class 3 semi-finals this weekend. The Maryville Spoofhounds beat Odessa 29-6 at home. The Spoofhounds will play on the road in a semi-final game against Trinity Catholic, which is now the top ranked team in Class 3.
In Class 2, Lathrop beat Summit Christian 41-14. Lathrop now will play 7-time defending champion Lamar.
In Class 1 semi-finals Penney High of Hamilton’s season came to an end in a 41-21 home loss to Mid-Buchanan.
In 8-Man Semi-Finals, Worth County beat Pattonsburg 56-0 in a game called at halftime. They will face Mound City in the finals.
