Trenton Council Actions

 

The employee grade scale and merit/years of service table for the City of Trenton and TMU was approved by the Trenton City Council.  The table is meant to establish a minimum starting wage for each position.  City Administrator Ron Urton says the table provides guidance for some situations.  He says there may be situations that arise that do not fit the scope of the table.

 

Appointments to three city boards were approved by the Trenton City Council.

Park Board: Chris Mengel, Cliff Harris, and Mary Peterson

Building and Nuisance Board: Vicki Meservey, Sarah Maloney, and Mitch Dougan.

Airport Board: Steve Hammond and Cody McCollum.

 

Bids for Asbestos inspection for planned demolition were awarded to Red Rock at $325 per house, plus samples.  An overall bid for demolition was awarded to Tony Truit Dirt Works for $49,000.

 

A pick-up from the TMU Electric Department was sold to the Police Department for $2.

 

The Council approved the purchase of a Trencher for the Electric Department for $92,500.  The sewer cleaning and camera inspections was approved at $60,000.  The Council also approved the purchase of fire hose for $13,000.
