Highway Patrol Assists Cameron Resident With Serious Injuries

An 18 year old Cameron resident who was driving eastbound on US 36 in Dekalb County suffered serious injuries on Tuesday afternoon when he overcorrected and overturned off the south side of the roadway.

 

The driver, Joe Gardner, was three miles west of Osborn travelling east at 3:13 PM when the 2013 Nissan Rogue was veering off the north side of US 36, then overcorrected and came to rest on the south side of the roadway on its top.

 

Gardner, an 18 year old male suffered serious injuries, while a passenger, 17 year old juvenile female had minor injuries. Both the driver and passenger were assisted by Missouri Highway Patrol and Dekalb County Sherriff’s Office, then transported by EMS to Mosaic Life Center, neither were wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
