House Fire In Trenton

A house fire at 1414 East 13th Court in Trenton summoned firefighters on Thursday evening. The 911 call came at 8:13 and firefighters arrived to David Brown’s house to see the detached garage fully involved and house 20% involved on the southeast corner. Heavy smoke and flames were showing from both structures.

Firefighters began extinguishment of the garage and southeast corner of the house then set up a ventilation fan and performed a positive pressure attack entering through the front door of the house to begin extinguishment and conduct a primary search of the interior. After the fire was controlled, crews conducted overhaul operations to assess for fire extension and extinguish any remaining hotspots.

The result was extensive fire damage and collapse of the roof of the garage which was a total loss. There was extensive fire damage to the back porch, back room, and kitchen all on the southeast corner. Along with extensive heat and smoke damage to the entire ground floor.

All occupants and animals made it out safely and there were no injuries.

The fire originated in the detached garage and spread to the house, however the cause of the fire is undetermined.
