State Records Preservation Grant

The Missouri Secretary of State has awarded $381,000 in grants to assist local governments with records management and preservation projects for the coming fiscal year.  Thirty-eight local jurisdictions in 29 counties received the grant funding.  Locally, there was one recipient: Sullivan County Recorder of Deeds.

The Local Records Grant Program issues reimbursements grants, up to $20,000, for approved projects that may include: digitization of records, shelving for records storage, microfilm readers for legacy media, software for electronic records, and supplies to better preserve permanent records.
