Audit Report And Other Actions In Board of Public Works Meeting

Chillicothe’s Board of Public Works heard the audit report from Bob Conrad as part of their meeting. Conrad covered several areas of the audit, including retirement, Lagers, investments, assets, and more.  Conrad says there were no problems found and this was a very good audit.

General Manager Matt Hopper explained to the board some issues with the sewer lining project.  These include missing videos of the work and miss-aligned taps for the individual services.  They are hoping to work with the contractor to resolve the issues before the final payment is made and they sign off on the project.

The Water Services department received quotes on parts for the Drag Sled for the settling basin.  They are replacing the chains on one of two systems.  The quotes are under the $50,000 estimate. The job will be done this fall.

Bids for the large, 30-gallon, orange CMU bags were reviewed.  General Manager Matt Hopper says they received two bids and they selected the low bid of $31,955 from Dyna-Pak.  This is for a year’s supply and is a decrease in cost from last year.
