Two crashes reported by the Missouri Highway Patrol were in the area counties or involved an area resident.
Friday at about 9:20 pm, a Florida truck driver had minor injuries when he ran off the road in Caldwell County. Forty-six-year-old Gefthy Rither was westbound on US 36 near Breckenridge when he lost control and his truck went off the south side of the road, crossed an intersection, struck a road sign, and overturned. The truck returned to the roadway and slid, blocking the westbound lanes. Rither was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. He was also arrested for Careless and Imprudent driving and DWI.
A four-vehicle crash in Clay County Friday afternoon left two drivers injured. State Troopers report all four vehicles were southbound on Interstate 35 when a vehicle driven by 33-year-old Felisha Eskridge of Gallatin began to hydroplane on the wet road and was struck by another vehicle, resulting in four vehicles involved in the crash. Another driver, 21-year-old Malachi Gatewood of North Kansas City had minor injuries. They were both taken to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment. The other drivers were not injured
