Seventy-seven calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department Tuesday.
At 2:06 a.m., while Officers were on patrol they observed an open door to a closed business in the 400 block of S. Washington St. Officers checked the business and did not discover any criminal activity.
At 4:33 p.m., Officers were dispatched to possible child abuse in the 400 block of Williams St. As a result, a 48-year-old man was arrested for child abuse and held at the Caldwell County Detention Center to be held pending the filing of formal charges.
At 7:20 p.m., Officers were dispatched to Litton Rd. near Danner Park for a fallen tree blocking the street. Officers responded and the Street Department was contacted, and they removed the tree.
