Weekend Chillicothe Police Report

More than 80 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department over the weekend.

Saturday, there were 40 calls for service, including

9:41 am Officers responded to the 200 block of East Bridge Street on a report of an unknown boat on the property. Officers verified the boat was not stolen and advised the property owner the options to have the boat removed from the property.

10:19 am Officers responded to Washington Street and Mohawk Road for a vehicle sitting in the roadway with an unresponsive driver. Officers assisted EMS with the 58-year-old man who was found to be having diabetic issues.  He refused further treatment.

5:45 pm Officers responded to the 200 block of Washington Street for a 38-year-old woman drinking and driving. Officers conducted standardized field sobriety tests revealing significant impairment. She was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

6:44 pm Officers responded to Elm Street and JFK in reference to a large group of people fighting. Officers were able to calm the situation and found the disturbance to be verbal in nature.

8:41 pm Officers responded to the area of Smith Street and Cowgill on a report of individuals lighting off fireworks. They were advised of the fireworks ordinance and resolved the issue.

11:41 pm Officers responded to the 700 block of Clay Street for a 59-year-old woman who was suicidal and had taken multiple pills. She was transported by EMS to Hedrick Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

 

Sunday there were 44 calls for service, including:

At 12:32 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a well-being check in the 700 block of Clay St. Officers responded and assisted the person.

At 3:59 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1900 block of Clay St. Officers responded and contacted a female who was yelling outside. She agreed to stop and left the area.

At 8:09 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a disturbance at Danner Park. Officers responded and the people involved agreed to separate and leave the area.
