A single-vehicle crash in Grundy County Saturday evening left three teens with serious, moderate, and minor injuries. State Troopers report the crash occurred at 8:20 pm, as the car was northbound on Route A, northwest of Trenton. The report states a 16-year-old girl was northbound and failed to make it through a curve and ran off the north side of the road. The vehicle overturned, ejecting a 14-year-old girl through the passenger side window, resulting in serious injuries. She was flown to Children’s Mercy Hospital. A 15-year-old girl had moderate injuries and was treated at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. They were not wearing safety belts.
The driver had minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. She was wearing a safety belt.
