Chillicothe Police Report For Tuesday

Eighty calls for service are reported by the Chillicothe Police Department for Tuesday.  Some of the calls include:

At 7:44 a.m., Officers were dispatched for a man, reportedly armed with a handgun, making threats to harm residents in the 1400 block of Dorney Dr.  Officers discovered the suspect had fled on foot. Officers located the suspect and arrested a 29-year-old man.  He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center. A warrant was issued by the Livingston County Courts for harassment 1st degree which had a $5,000.00 cash only bond.

At 2:11 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle crash in the 1000 block of S. Mitchell Ave. Officers responded and located the vehicle off the road and in a ditch. The driver had minor injuries and was treated on scene by the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

At 2:15 p.m., Officers were dispatched to possible child abuse/neglect in the 1000 block of Grandview Ave. Officers were assisted by the Livingston County Children’s Division.

At 3:22 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash at Simpson Park. A vehicle struck a road sign. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

At 4:11 p.m., Officers were dispatched to an elderly female walking and wearing winter clothing on Jackson St. Officers responded and located the female who was confused. They assisted her and were able to get her back to her residence.

At 5:41 p.m., Officers took a report of leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash in the 1000 block of Graves St. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers conducted traffic stops, business checks and responded to 80 calls for service on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024.
