Unemployment numbers in June are mixed in the local counties. The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development released the most recent unemployment figures. This includes two area counties that showed a drop in unemployment for the month.

Daviess…………. 3.7%, down from 3.9% in May
Caldwell…………. 3.9%, up from 3.8% in May
Chariton…………. 3.9%, up from 3.6% in May
Livingston………. 3.9%, up from 3.5% in May
Carroll…………… 4.0%, up from 3.8% in May
Grundy………….. 4.6%, up from 4.3% in May
Sullivan………….. 4.5%, down from 4.7% in May
Linn………………. 5.0%, up from 4.4% in May
The State of Missouri is at 4.2%, up from 3.9%. The US unemployment figure is at 4.3%, up from 3.7% in May.
