The Chillicothe R-II School District 2024/25 Personal Property and Real Estate Tax Rate is proposed at $4.7103 per $100 valuation. The proposed rate includes 3.6265 for the incidental fund, .966 for debt service, and .1178 for capital projects. This is an increase of .001 per $100 valuation over the previous year.
The proposed tax rate is based on the assessed valuation data provided by the county. Revisions to the rate are permitted by September 1st if the data changes significantly as a result of the Board of Equalization.
The Chillicothe R-II School Board will have a tax rate hearing ahead of the August School Board meeting. That meeting will take place August 12th. The Tax Rate Hearing is scheduled for 4:45 pm in the board room at the District Administrative Building. The School Board meeting will begin at 5:00 pm and will include consideration or setting the rate.
