With less than two weeks remaining before the start of the school year, Chillicothe R-II Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says work continues to complete the work on the Chillicothe Elementary School Expansion. He says there is a push to get some last-minute items completed. He says there were several reasons for the delays in construction.
Including workforce and material supply issues.
Wiebers says the delays have resulted in Liquidated Damages for the contractor.
There were three deadlines missed in the contract.
The liquidated damages can reduce the final payment made for the construction of the building.
