Tax rates were approved by the City of Chillicothe and the Chillicothe School Board.
The tax rate for personal property and real estate for the City of Chillicothe was set at $.8779 per $100 valuation. The approval followed a Tax Rate Hearing as part of Monday’s Chillicothe City Council meeting. There were no comments from the public in that hearing and the vote was 5/0 to approve.
The Personal Property and Real Estate Tax rate for the Chillicothe R-II School District was set following a public hearing at Monday’s School Board meeting. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says the rate is only slightly higher than last year.
Set at $4.7103 per $100 valuation. 1/1000 of a cent above last year.
There were no comments from the public in the hearing held prior to the regular meeting.
