Livingston County Sheriff’s Report

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for early August includes numerous investigations and arrests.

Incident Reports:

August 3rd, deputies attempted to stop a vehicle traveling 91 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 near LIV 249 when the vehicle fled from deputies, wrecking into a ditch on LIV 240.  Deputies arrested 18-year-old Lane McCoy of Chillicothe for alleged resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child as a juvenile was found to have been in the vehicle at the time he decided to flee.

August 11th, LCSO responded to the 3rd Street Bottoms on a reported kidnapping attempt.  Investigation showed the incident was a prank devised by juveniles.  The juveniles and parents were counseled on the seriousness of falsely reporting a crime.

August 15th, Deputies took a report of a stolen vehicle from the 10000 block of LIV 271 in Wheeling.  Keys to the vehicle were reported to have been left in the front seat of the vehicle. Investigation continues.

Arrests:

August 11th, 34-year-old Nathan Nozime of Brookfield was arrested for alleged driving while intoxicated on US 65 near US 36.  Nozime was processed and released.

August 12th, 55-year-old Elinor Lopez of Chillicothe was arrested in the 500 block of Jackson Street in Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Harassment.  Lopez was unable to post $5000 cash bond and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.
