The Livingston County Library, located at 450 Locust Street in Chillicothe, hosts the “Music on the Porch” event on Saturday, August 31st beginning at 6 p.m.
This year’s event features a second-floor “porch” appearing from the second-floor courtroom of the Library, where musicians will perform from.
Locust St. will be closed to traffic from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to enable pedestrians to explore the west side of the 400 block of Locust Street from the Livingston County Library to Lifepoint Church, and to the Cultural Corner Art Guild & Gallery. Stop at each location to enjoy various musical acts along the way, which include:
Each venue will start the event at 6 p.m., with the Library kicking things off with scheduled sets until 7 p.m., followed by an open mic session until 8 p.m. Lifepoint Church’s worship band will perform at the church, and Cultural Corner hosts an open mic from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cultural Corner also has scheduled musician sets from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Corporal Blue’s Smoothie Shack will be parked on Locust St. and serving from there. District Home Decor will also be open during the event.
