The Chillicothe Lady Hornets softball team kept their hot start to the season going against East Buchanan Tuesday night in their first home game at Danner Park. After going 3-2 in the Greater Kansas City Tournament over the weekend, finishing 4th place amongst 24 teams, the Lady Hornets raced out to an early lead against the Bulldogs, scoring 3 runs in the first inning. After one run in each the 2nd and 3rd, Chillicothe blew the game open in the 4th inning, scoring 10 runs to cut the game short and win 15-0. Landry Marsh had a big performance, with 5 RBIs and 2 runs batting while also pitching 2 innings, striking out 5 batters and allowing just one hit. Chillicothe improves to 4-2 on the season and will play at home again next Tuesday in their first MEC game against Lafayette.
