Weekend Chillicothe Police Report

Chillicothe Police Report For Friday includes 113 calls for service.

10:15 AM, Officers received a report of alleged child abuse in the 800 block of Elm Street from an outside agency.  This incident remains under investigation.

10:29 AM, Officers took a report of fraud, the investigation is on going.

11:53 AM, Officers responded to the intersection of Business 36 and Graves Street for a two-vehicle accident. One vehicle was traveling west on Business 36 and a second vehicle attempted to cross Business 36 at Graves Street and failed to yield, resulting in an accident. No injuries were reported.

12:00 PM, Officers responded to the 10 block of Cherry Street for theft from a motor vehicle. Officers determined the suspect stole money, credit cards, and a firearm. No suspect has been identified. Investigation is ongoing.

4:15 PM, Officers took an additional report of vandalism to the Kelly Polling street memorial. The investigation is continuing.

5:56 PM, Officers responded to the 1800 block of Polk Street for a possible assault.

Saturday there were 74 calls for service:

02:00 AM, Officers assisted Carroll County Sheriff’s Department in notifying a Chillicothe Citizen of a fire in their jurisdiction.

08:25 AM, Officers following up on the theft investigation in the 10 block of Cherry Street.

6:27 PM, Officers assisted Livingston County EMS on a medical emergency in the 2000 block of Redbud Lane.

8:03 PM, Officers responded to the 1400 block of Trenton Road for alleged stalking.  They were escorted out of town by officers and advised of the process of an order of protection.

Sunday, there were 46 calls for service.

At 3:58 a.m., Officers were dispatched to possible threats in the 100 block of N. Herriford St. Officers responded and later located the suspect.

At 3:49 p.m., Officers took a report of leaving the scene of a crash that had occurred the day before in the 2800 block of Grand Dr. The investigation is ongoing.

At 9:49 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible prowler in the 3000 block of Blackhawk Dr. Officers responded but were unable to locate anyone.

Officers have been working on a property damage investigation in the downtown Kelly Poling Arts District. Officers have interviewed several people related to the damage and have identified suspects.  A completed investigation will be submitted to the Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges by the end of the week.

 Officers also conducted traffic stops, business checks, and followed up with numerous investigations.
