Michael Gene Hague, age 65 of Camdenton, MO, passed away September 12, 2024 at his home.
Michael was born November 15, 1958, the son of Eddie Harlan and Hazel Jean (Ellis) Hague in Trenton, MO. Michael grew up in Eudora Kansas before his family moved to Trenton, MO. At 14, Michael moved to Garland, TX to attend Garland Christian Academy.
In December 1976, Michael married Charlotte Gilbert and had two sons, Jerremy Lee and Michael Brent Hague.
In 2002, Michael met Vilynda (Lyn) Bonnett and her daughter Madalyn and the couple was married June 26, 2003.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Eddie, mother Hazel (Jeannie), brother Randy Hague, and nephew Chad Milner. He is survived by his wife Lyn of the home, children Jerremy and wife Ammanda of Independence MO, Michael Brent and wife Beth of Sheridan, Wyoming, Madalyn Hague of Kansas City, MO, and Papa to Gracie, Eli, Nathan, Stephen and Daniel Hague.
Michael was a husband to the end and honored to protect his wife and be her provider. He was most proud of his family, and so very proud of his boys and the men they have become and the strong young lady he raised.
Michael loved being a police officer and it was his calling. Even though he had retired from law enforcement he was always a cop – working to serve others. After retirement, he worked in security for financial and banking institutions and worked with security providers to advise them.
Michael enjoyed riding his motorcycle and looked forward to the Sunday morning breakfast rides with a group of his close friends.
For those of you who knew Michael – you knew that Michael loved hard and was also hard to love, especially after a leg day when you had to have help walking up the stairs. He was structured, to say the least, and stood firm in what he believed. Michael had a passion for people and helped so many. And, as you know, he had a passion for working out. When he was in the gym, it was time to bring it and give it all that you had. He got the most fulfillment from training others that were serious about their goals. He not only “trained” people in the gym, but he coached them in life. Friends were like family, and he gave them his all. He helped so many people in and out of the gym, to not only be strong but stronger in life…. All you had to do was believe in yourself and love the person looking back at you in the mirror.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21st at 10 a.m. at the Georgene Subdivision Shelter House in Camdenton, Mo. Services are nder the direction of Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Homes of Camdenton.
