Chillicothe Police Report – Tuesday

Eighty-one calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department Tuesday.  Some of the calls include:

At 10:19 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a one vehicle non-injury motor vehicle crash at Clay and Vine St.’s. Officers responded and took a report of a vehicle striking a pole.

At 1:38 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 600 block of Elm St. Officers arrested a 27-year-old man for peace disturbance and resisting a lawful detention. He was transported to the Police Department where he assaulted an Officer. During transport to the Caldwell County Detention Center, the man caused property damage to the patrol car by attempting to kick out the windows and damaged the cage. He further resisted the detention staff. The man was placed on a 24-hour hold and additional charges are pending.

At 2:33 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible intoxicated driver in the 2600 block of N. Washington St. Officers responded to the area but were unable to locate the vehicle at that time. Officers later received another call of the same vehicle and driver in the 500 block of W. Bus. 36 Hwy. Officers responded, located the vehicle and driver and arrested a 39-year-old woman for DUI. She was processed and released.

At 7:58 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a well-being check on the Viaduct where a male was standing on the rail of the bridge. Officers responded, contacted the man who said the did not need any assistance. Officers provided the male with resources if he decided he needed any. The male then left the area.

At 8:41 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a male standing on the rail of the U.S. 65 and U.S. 36 Hwy. overpass bridge. Officers responded but were unable to locate anyone on the bridge.

At 9:25 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible burglary in the 600 block of Webster St. Officers arrested a 42-year-old man for trespassing. He was processed and released.
