A Polo man was sentence to more than 25 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to his part in a drug conspiracy. Thirty-four year old Joshua Bowers of Polo is sentence to 25 years and 10 months in federal prison with out parole. He is also ordered to forfeit $11,319 that was seized at the time of his arrest and to pay more then $525,000 as proceeds from drug trafficking.
Bowers pleaded guilty in 2017 to participating in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, to participating in a conspiracy to distribute heroin, and to possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime. The investigation by the Buchanan County Drug Strike Task Force and the DEA began in 2010.
